Where our Website requires you to register, you must provide accurate and complete information. Currently this is just for the newsletter and as such does not require password or security details. We reserve the right to contact you by email as provided at the time of registration, regarding your use of any interactive areas of the Website. We have no control over the information and material posted on our interactive areas, but we reserve the right to edit, move and remove posts as necessary to keep the interactive areas safe for other users.

Competition Terms and Conditions

These rules apply for all competitions unless otherwise stated:
Unless otherwise stated contestants can enter each competition with Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day once. Any entries, after the first, will be deleted.
Unless otherwise stated online, only one prize per competition is allocated.
Unless otherwise stated, all contestants chosen are those who have entered at the advertised time and are chosen at random by the appropriate person in line with the advertised promotion of the competition.
The competition will run until the competition has been completed or has run its course. Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day reserves the right not to give away any prize if no winner is found.
Unless otherwise stated, there is only one prize per competition and all prizes are offered in good faith. It is recognised that at times genuine mistakes can occur. If a mistake has occurred, then the Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day, at its sole discretion can either award the prize to the person(s) who in their view, was the original winner of the competition.

Prizes offered by Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day are in most cases provided to the Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day, by a third party or sponsor. At the end of the competition the liability passes from Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day to the sponsor for the deliverance of the prize offered. If the sponsor or third party thereafter cannot deliver the product or prize due to liquidation or similar, Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day IS NOT liable for its provision.

Employees, volunteers and relatives of Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day or any of the co-sponsors of the competition are not eligible to enter this competition.Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day reserves the right to alter or amend these rules at any time and to suspend the competition or cancel the competition at any time. Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day cannot be held responsible for any loss that may be incurred by those attempting to enter competitions.

Failure to gain access to competitions due to technical difficulties, is not the responsibility of Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day.
Unless otherwise stated, there is no cash alternative to the advertised prizes and any prize is strictly non-transferable.
By entering competitions all contestants agree to be used in publicity, promotion and by any means deemed fit for the promotion of Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day. If this relates to a minor, parental permission will be sought. Copyright and any photographs, video or audio of winners, remains the property of Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day throughout the world. No correspondence will be entered into regarding competitions. Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day decision is final. If the rules to competitions have been broken or the answer has been revealed to contestants by any third party, the prize may be withdrawn. Any contestant entering competitions on Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day giving false or misleading information will be disqualified and any prizes won will be withdrawn. This includes, but is not limited to, name, address, telephone numbers and details of previously won prizes.
Prizes must be claimed within 1 months from date of winning. We endeavour to send out all prizes within 28 days of the win. This is subject to change at our discretion. Should any part of these Terms and Conditions be found to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable at law, then that part shall be severed from the Terms and Conditions to the extent that it is invalid or unenforceable, and its severance shall not affect the rest of these Terms and Conditions, which shall remain enforceable at law. These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law, and all disputes arising from them shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of English courts.

Crowdfunder Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions are amended from time to time to govern the relationship between you and Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day in relation to any donation you make to Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day through its website.

Your donation

The purpose of your donation is to provide the Royal Aerobatic Team the Red Arrows, to display at the next AFD event. This includes ( but is not limited to ), associated safety requirements including traffic management, security provision, marshalling, insurances and professional services associated with said safety provision. We will use your donation at our discretion but within our stated not for profit objectives, of providing the Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day Event. The target on the date of publishing is £7500 and funds are being raised on behalf of Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day. In the event that the target is not met, is overachieved or cannot go ahead, any monies raised, will be held in reserve for a future Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day event.

All donations through Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day’s website are to be made via its payment services provider, Stripe. By confirming that you wish to proceed with your donation, you authorise Stripe (or any other payment services provider Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day may use from time to time) to request funds from your credit or debit card provider.
 In doing so you are agreeing to Stripes terms and conditions which can be found here.

Stripe the payment processor takes a percentage for transactions but unlike crowdfunding platforms, there are no other fees. As an example, for every £10 donated, Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day receives £9.65. Stripes processing fees are 1.5% + 20p. People can only donate via the website.

Specific Fundraiser questions are answered on this page in FAQ section, as per Fundraising Regulator guidelines. These terms and conditions only relate to one-off donations made through Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day’s website

The donations agreement

By confirming on Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day’s website that you wish to make a donation, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions for that donation. Making a donation on these terms and conditions does not constitute the creation of a contract. Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day has complete discretion over whether to accept a donation. It reserves the right to decline a donation for any reason whatsoever. The agreement between you and Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day will be entered into once Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day has accepted your offer and processed your donation.

Your personal information

Before a donation can be processed, you must provide Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day with: your name, email address and donation amount. You must also agree to the terms and conditions for the donation to be processed.

This information will be used to process the donation. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have provided Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day with the correct information. By donating, you agree that any personal information provided with the donation may be held and used by Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day or its agents and suppliers to administer the donation. Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day stores only your name, email address, donation amount and a random four digits, from your debit or credit card.

All personal data provided to Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day will be held and processed in accordance with the requirements of all legislation and regulatory requirements in force from time to time relating to the use of personal data and the privacy of electronic communications.

We will keep your personal data safe and secure. We will not share it with other organisations without your knowledge and consent, unless required by law. We will keep your personal data only for the purposes of communicating with you regarding this donation. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing your data based on your consent before its withdrawal.

When you submit your payment details, these details will be transferred to Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day’s payment services provider, Stripe. Your payment data will be collected and processed securely by Stripe. Stripes terms and conditions are different from those of Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day. Before you make a donation, make sure that you are aware of Stripes terms and conditions to ensure that you are comfortable with how Stripe will process your personal data.

This donation is in no way endorsed, administered by, or associated with Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or any other social network. You are providing your information to Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day and not to any other party. The information provided will be used in conjunction with Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day Privacy Policy. These terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.

Words used in these terms and conditions

In these Donation Terms and Conditions, the following definitions and rules of interpretation apply. ‘Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day’, ‘it’ or ‘its’ means IOW AFD LTD incorporated and registered in England and Wales with company number 15633901, whose registered office is at Gibson Whitter – Larch House Parklands Business Park, Forest Road, Denmead, Waterlooville, Hampshire, England, PO7 6XP. It is IOW AFD LTD, in partnership with Ryde Town Council who are providing this year’s Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day event. ‘You’ means the donor and shall include that party’s personal representatives, successors or permitted assigns. Headings shall not affect the interpretation of these terms and conditions. Words in the singular shall include the plural and vice versa. A reference to a statute, statutory provision or subordinated legislation is a reference to it as it is in force from time to time, taking account of any amendment or re-enactment and includes any statute, statutory provision or subordinate legislation which it amends or re-enacts. Any words following the terms ‘including’, ‘include’, ‘in particular’, ‘for example’, or any similar expression shall be construed as illustrative and shall not limit the sense of the words, description, definition, phrase or term preceding those terms.
